Employee Benefits | Account Associate

Giddings, Texas

We are looking for a highly motivated Account Associate to join our Employee Benefits team. The right applicant will be eager to learn from our experienced team of benefits experts, and provide our clients the level of service our agency has become known for.

Please Note: This position is not an HR position in charge of handling the benefits package for our employees. We are an insurance brokerage firm. This position will be responsible for our client’s benefit programs.

QUALIFICATIONS
Previous Benefits and office experience preferred but not required.

DUTIES

Provide assistance to department Account Managers in handling and processing of all employee benefits lines of business to maintain an efficient, cohesive and effective operational department. Requires ability to shift focus regularly based on team needs, work in a fast-paced environment and balance multiple projects and deadlines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

— Prepare documentation for the department, clients, and carriers including: Spreadsheets, Quotes/Proposals, compiling booklets and information for clients.
— Assist Account Managers with computer entry and file maintenance by updating system databases and other related information.
— Maintain confidentiality of all information.
— Schedule enrollment meetings with clients.
— Participate in staff team meetings and takes meeting notes and distributes.
— Complete other work-related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS
— Must have Strong communication skills, and be able to positively and clearly interact with carriers, producers, clients and co-workers.
— Working knowledge of rating procedures, underwriting procedures, coverages, and industry operations
— Ability stay focused and collected in a high-pressured, fast-paced environment.
— This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

— While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit.
