Account Manager – Benefits Department

Giddings, Texas

We’re looking for an experienced and highly motivated insurance expert to join our Employee Benefits Team at our Giddings location. Team members must be passionate about employee benefits and eager to provide clients the level of customer service our agency has become known for.

Please Note: This position is not an HR position in charge of handling the benefits package for our employees. We are an insurance brokerage firm. This position will be responsible for our client’s benefit programs.

Position Details:

Employee Benefits Account Managers are expected to: execute sales strategy, coordinate contact with existing and potential customers and producers, identify Client and Prospect needs and sell appropriate benefits to meet those needs, foster renewals and new business relationship with assigned accounts, exceeding customer’s expectations.

Experience
— Previous Insurance Experience is Preferred but not required.

—Three Years experience in all essential job duties and functions preferred.

License / Education
— Life and Health Insurance License or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire date
— HIPPA Certified or ability to become certified within one year of hire date
— High School diploma or Equivalent

Duties & Responsibilities

— Maintain the highest level of confidentiality

— Manage assigned accounts

— Ability to gain and relay knowledge of ACA requirements and guidelines

— Independently analyze, diagnose and resolve all service issues

— Prepare and relay detailed analysis information to clients

— Manage various reports

— Ability to communicate influential decisions

— Communicate with prospective customers and establish benefit needs, customer needs, and create a customer carrier relationship

— Independently manage carrier database updates, including: adds, terms, and changes.

— Assists with day to day renewal operations including— Prepare documents for: Relationship Manager, Clients, and Carriers; Verify data for accuracy including but not limited to: Census information, cost analysis spreadsheets, deduction calculators, and other spreadsheets as assigned.

— Proficient in Excel and ability to create complex proposals and cost analysis spreadsheets.

— Create open enrollment books, flyers, various enrollments forms and other information as needed.

— Computer entry & file maintenance.

— Assist in management of claims advocacy

— Ensure materials are available when needed

— Participate in staff meetings and take notes

— Train Relationship Associates

Physical Demands:
— Employee may be required to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
— While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit.
